Lucky Wok

I did not get home Monday until 2:30 in the afternoon. So I dropped by my local takee outee for meal. Below is the sweet and sour sauce I hate. Too sweet for me. A nice egg roll with the standard ingredients. The rolled items below that is the best thing at this place. It is believe it or not shrimp toast. They spread the shrimp mixture on the bread and then roll it so the bread is expose to the frying oil

The combo plate of House Lo Mein and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The lo mein has shrimp, beef, pork, and chicken in it. The meat is fabulous and so tender. The pasta is linguine and I prefer spaghetti noodles instead. I end up only a portion of it. The batter on the chicken was thin and crispy with meat tender.

The egg drop soup was pretty standard and I liked it.

I feel that the best Chinese food in Lake Charles is on Ryan street at Peking Express. They offer the freshest vegetables when you order off the menu. I have never gotten the buffet, but everything I've ordered off the menu is first class. I also like that they don't add MSG to their recipes. Just wanted to see what you thought about it... by the way, I love your blog! Thanks for keeping me out and about Lake Charles.

I like it better than Lucky Wok and when I am on that end of town I go there. Lucky is basically on my way back from work
